Working with me

The practical details

Therapy is a process of understanding more about yourself, I work with empathy and compassion to support you in this therapeutic process, so that over time you can expect to see the impact in your daily life. We can work together for a specific period or on an open-ended basis depending on your needs and challenges at that time. It is not unusual for clients to attend therapy for a year or more in order to create significant and meaningful shifts in their lives.

We will schedule a regular, mutually convenient day and time for our sessions. This will be your dedicated weekly slot, sessions are 50 minutes for individuals and 1 hour for couples.

Our work together is confidential, and I follow the 'BACP Ethical Framework' (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).

I understand that seeking counselling can be a big step, but for many it is the most profound step towards transforming.

Next steps

If you are interested in working with me, want to find out more about my approach, or would like to discuss your options, please get in touch by completing the Contact Form here. I am happy to respond either by email or telephone, depending on your preference. I can also offer an initial 15-minute free phone consultation. Please note this isn’t to discuss the details of why you’re coming to counselling; that is best saved for our initial sessions together where we can explore it in sufficient detail.

If you wish to arrange an initial session, I will send you a brief information form. We will then arrange our first session, which will give us an opportunity to meet each other, discuss what has brought you to counselling, and how we may work together.
